Email Notifications for Action Items

Users will receive email notifications when a new Action Item is assigned and a daily Summary email for all Pending Action Items if an email address is included in their User Profile.

Access

Enter a users email address in their User Profiles in Access User Profiles > select a User Profile > Email tab.

Scheduling Email Notifications

Two SRV tasks have been created to send the New Action Item and Daily Summary emails. Be aware that the Email Notification SRV task generates all daily emails.

New Action Item email

Navigate to Services > View Schedule and select Email Notifications to view the schedule of when daily email notifications will be generated.

The subject of the email for a new Action Item is "New Action" and includes the 40 character Description for the Action Item. In addition, the following information is included in the body of the email.

  • Action Item ID
  • Assigned Operator
  • Description
  • Task Details
  • Due Date
  • Customer ID and Name
  • Location
  • Contact
  • Assigned User
  • Phone

For locations using Fertilizer Dispatching, this SRV task will also generate an email whenever there is a change to a Location on Batches.

Action Item Summary email

The Email Notification Summary SRV task generates the daily Action Item summary email for all Action Items in a Pending Status.

The subject for the Action Item Summary email will be "Action Item Summary for (date)". In addition, the following information is included in the body of the email for each Action Item.

  • Action Item ID
  • Assigned Operator
  • Description
  • Task Details
  • Due Date
  • Customer ID and Name
  • Location
  • Contact
  • Assigned User
  • Phone

For locations using Fertilizer Dispatching, this SRV task will also generate an email whenever there is a change to a Location on Batches.
